- Abstract
- This article asks both degree of technology quality produced by South Korea and which factors have effect on number of forward citation signifying technology quality in the field of environment-friendly organic agriculture. To address the questions, two analytical methodologies are applied. Based on Patent Index analysis and count data model, the author find out that national competitiveness of the technology is insubstantial, especially on innovation speed and consideration level of latent market. In the same vein, securing family patent stimulates technology quality in the field. Also it's essential to output technology in the other nations quantitatively to raise quality of technology as a political drive. Likewise, claim range mentioned broadly and citation from journals or papers not from patent are recommended as the way of strategic R&D planning to enhance quality of new technology output. Final insights of estimated results is to have appropriate R&D planning strategies for each sub-technology are more effective than applying one same strategy for all because of technological differences.
