- Abstract
- We introduce a three-stack photonic crystal structure that overcomes the limitations of a single photonic crystal, and then use simulation to demonstrate the superiority. We used the finite differential time domain method to calculate the reflectance and color gamut that mean display properties. The stacked-photonic-crystals have higher reflectance and larger color gamut than those of a single photonic crystal. Stacked photonic crystal can combine coloration from each layer and therefore can reflect continuous color.
