- Abstract
- This study proposes a design of a temperature-compensated ring oscillator with high accuracy and low power consumption. To compensate for the temperature’s effects, a 20K-resolution temperature sensor was embedded. Also, a ring oscillator was used as a reference to reduce power consumption. Digital logic circuits were implemented in an external FPGA. The chip was fabricated in TSMC 180nm CMOS technology. As a result, it achieved low power consumption (15.8uW) and high accuracy (223ppm). Therefore, this oscillator is a promising option for biomedical and IoT applications.
