dc.description.abstractThe integration of diverse information holds significant importance across various fields, including display and sensor. This motivation causes the study of an innovative approach involving active metaholograms utilizing stimuli-responsive liquid crystals (LCs). Our system is sensitively responsive for a range of stimuli (e.g. electrical field, heat, pressure, and gas). Molecular reorientation of LC molecules by stimuli causes optical transition of the incident light on metasurface. Consequently, the holographic image from the metasurface has a transformation from one image to another. However, in case of polarization, the overlapping causes cross-talk of optical properties. We suggest to utilize orbital angular momentum (OAM) for discrimination of infinite information theoretically. By selecting specific OAM values via LC cells, the stored image on the metasurface is shown to our eyes. This research presents a promising trajectory towards the potential for dynamic and boundless information storage, with implications spanning a multiplex of metasurface and LCs.
