- Abstract
- A proficiency testing is carried out for electromagnetic radiated emission (RE) measurements in the frequency range of 30-1000 MHz. A spherical dipole radiator (SDR) is employed as a reference emitting source. Using the SDR, the RE measurements are taken for horizontal and vertical polarizations at 12 open area test sites and the measurement distance is 10 m. To evaluate the proficiency of each test laboratory, the robust Z score and E-n ratio methods are used. In order to use the E-n ratio method, the measurement uncertainty of each test laboratory is evaluated in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement. Results show that decision on a proficiency testing depends on the evaluation method used.
