Abstract
Using the small polaron model incorporating the double exchange interaction, we have explored transport properties in colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) manganites. This model is applied to understand the evolution of T-C with the chemical pressure in R(0.7)A(0.3)MnO(3) series. The isotope effects on T-C in the metallic phase can also be understood based on this model. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
