- Abstract
- Researchers report on a first approach to achieve a dynamic interactive sensor based on the incorporation of a thermochromic composite on a resistive pressure sensor comprising thermally conductive Ag-PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) and electrically conductive carbon black-PDMS (CB-PDMS) composite. The resistance values of the composites have been modulated to maximize local resistive heating when local pressure was applied. The resistive pressure sensor is notable in that it reversibly detects local pressure and repeatedly generates local heat, which is the distinctive feature that separates the sensor from previous resistive pressure sensors.
