- Abstract
- There are need for light-weight, high strength, high formability in steel materials, especially for automotive industry, because it is essential for development of light car for fuel-saving. TWIP steel which have high Mn content falls to this category, because it has high elongation and strength arising from work hardening from mechanical twin formation. If we add aluminum to steel, we can attain its reduction of density as well as increase of strength, suppression of delayed fracture, suppression of corrosion, and etc. In this research, microstructure and formability was investigated with respect to aluminum content with reference chemical composition of Fe-25Mn-0.15C. Microstructure and phase were investigated with optical microscope and EBSD, XRD experiment. And Nakajima test were performed to investigate formability of each steel with forming limit curve.
