- Abstract
- In this thesis, processes and results of photon pair generation in Silicon micro-disk resonator are described. The energy, time entangled photon pairs are most important element in quantum optics field. In the history of quantum optics, photon pairs are prepared via spontaneous parametric down-conversion process. However, researches about photon pair generation in micro-structure drew many attention in a decade. This kind of approach focus on the integration of photon pair sources in small single chip with other optical components. In this thesis, I describe some simulation results, sample preparation processes and present evidence of photon pair generation in Silicon micro-disk resonator.
