- Abstract
- It has been well known that the stem cell therapeutic approach is a crucial benefit for recovering the ischemic heart diseases in the world. Among them, patch-based approach has been introduced as the next generation including microscale manufacturing techniques such as 3D bioprinting. In this research, heart derived decellularized extracellular matrix bioink(hdECM) was used for the materials which can serve the fine cell environment than any biomaterials. We developed the large area of cardiac patch for the porcine study using 3D bioprinting. It was fabricated for more accelerating the maturation of cardiac-related cells by aligning the dual stem cells pattern structure. When the patch was applied on the porcine myocardial infarction model and followed by 1 month, the echocardiography showed the improved heart function and the histology suggested the possibility of cardiac regeneration inside the patch.
